The Bonsai Ligustrum is an evergreen shrub of Asian origin belonging to the Oleaceae family. It is characterized by glossy, simple, small and rounded leaves; its roots are thick and strong and this makes the plant practically indestructible and therefore suitable for anyone who is fascinated by the world of bonsais, but still has no experience. In summer, white flowers may rarely occur, while more frequent are the fruits in bacciform drupes of blackish color.
TREATMENT: The Bonsai Ligustrum prefers a temperate climate and a location in a well-lit and sunny place, away from heat sources and drafts. During the colder seasons it is good to place it in the apartment and place it less than a meter from the window, maintaining a temperature between 15 ° C and 25 ° C, while in the warmer seasons it is possible to place it also externally, taking care to put it in the penumbra .
This plant should be watered regularly, making sure the soil is dry and taking care to avoid water stagnation. If in the summer season you decide to place it outside, it is preferable to water it every day; in the intermediate seasons 1-2 waterings a week are sufficient, while the winter one every 15 days.
