This plant belonging to the Malvaceae family is characterized by many ramifications and oval-shaped leaves with a dark green color and jagged edge. It is characterized by its majesty: it can even reach 2-3 meters in height. Among the specimens of its species, hibiscus syriacus is certainly the most resistant: it does not fear the cold weather and is particularly easy to grow. For this, but above all for its beauty and elegance, it is widely used in gardens and interiors as an ornamental plant.
TREATMENT: This specimen prefers bright and sunny positions and it is able to tolerate even direct sunlight. It resists well even at low temperatures and adapts to any soil, provided it is well drained. It can also be grown in pots, as long as it is large and it is changed at least every two to four years. Hibiscus syriacus does not have particular fertilization and watering needs: it is sufficient to water the soil when it is dry and to supply it with liquid fertilizer for flowering plants mixed with irrigation water every 15-20 days.
