Potted climbing bougainvillea

Bougainvillea is a climbing shrub that can be induced to fall back; it has rather insignificant leaves and flowers when compared to the showy leaf bracts, the flowers that surround it, the branches are thorny and bear oval leaves.

It must also be exposed to direct sunlight. It is good that it is leaned against a wall, such as near a window so that it is more sheltered during the winter.It lives well outside especially in the most sheltered areas

Irrigation

In summer, keep the soil always slightly damp avoiding stagnant water. For the specimens grown in the open ground it is necessary to intervene in particularly dry periods during the autumn winter, in the summer irrigate regularly.

In warm temperate areas, bougainvilleas can be grown outdoors. In areas where temperatures are colder, especially during the winter season, it is necessary to repair them and, depending on the situation, collect them indoors.
