Scented crocus mix 15 bulbs

The crocus is a bulbous herbaceous plant native to the Orient.

Its leaves, very thin and dark green and glossy, are crossed by a white stripe in the center. The beautiful flowers, whose length varies from 8 to 15 cm, have the shape of a cup and are composed of 6 tepals.

Treatment:

Place the crocus bulbs in a cool and very bright place, which preferably is not in contact with direct sunlight for too many hours a day. The crocus fears only the coldest temperatures.

Fairly moist soil is ideal for growing these bulbs, while the best time to plant them is autumn, from late September to mid-November.

Bury the bulb about 5 cm deep into the ground and about 5 cm apart.

The crocus does not like excessive humidity: water only in the hottest periods, waiting for the soil to dry completely between one watering and another.

At the time of planting you can use a slow release fertilizer in the ground, but when you notice the first flowers wither, intervene with a specific fertilizer for bulbous plants: by adding it to the water every 15-20 days, you will notice a prolongation of flowering.

Flowering usually occurs between late winter and early spring.
