THE CERTIFICATE TO USE PESTICIDES

THE CERTIFICATE TO USE PESTICIDES

On 26 November the "license", that is the authorization to purchase toxic, very toxic and harmful health products (now plant protection products), was replaced by the new certificate of authorization to purchase and use, which will affect all plant protection products and adjuvants for professional use, regardless of their classification.

When is it needed and how do I do if I want to use the products involved?

The new legislation expands the products involved in this rule, several products that can be purchased online and in stores are now transferable only upon presentation of the certificate of qualification. For example, all solutions of acaricidal insecticides, mineral oils sold to date in 1l packs have gone to professional use. It is therefore necessary to opt for the same solutions in packs not exceeding 500 ml.

This is to be known because several products still on the market may now be no longer available if not configured in the quantities required by the new regulations just approved.

... for those wishing to deepen the subject:

Future buyers / users of plant protection products and adjuvants will have to attend courses held by autonomous regions and provinces and pass the final exam positively, after having demonstrated that they have attended at least 75% of the lessons. More complicated than a degree course! Attendance is not mandatory for applicants "with a five-year or a three-year higher education diploma in agricultural and forestry, biological, natural, environmental, chemical, pharmaceutical, medical and veterinary disciplines." (Yes, doctors too!), who will "only" have to pass the final exam.
